It is true that even without a Social Security number, a car can be leased! The car will not be cheaply leased without a downpayment, so be aware of that. Having the SSN in hand and systematically building up a credit history are prerequisites for this option.

Leasing: Monthly payments are usually reduced, the need for a cash down payment is reduced, upgrading to a more expensive model is easier, it's easier to benefit from the latest technology, and there's a lease-end purchase option. Financing (Purchasing): Vehicle ownership upon final payment, no mileage limitation, no limitations to vehicle modifications (though some may void the warranty).

What a downpayment is?

A downpayment is the amount paid to recoup the lease body, not the inception fees. Standard fees for a new car include: $450/350 for DMV registration, $899 acquisition fee (one-time bank commission), $799 dealer fee, and the first monthly lease payment. Anything above these inception fees is considered a downpayment.

Sign&Drive or $0 Down?

$0 Down - you pay only inceptions: 1st month payment, tag, title, registration, bank and other fees. Sign&Drive - no money out of the pocket due at signing. Your monthly payment already includes 1st month payment, tag, title, registration, bank and other fees.

Overspending is not forgiven in 99% of cases. It is also possible for the dealer to deceive the customer and hide this amount in the lease. Clients who lack inside information may not be aware of these tricks.

Should I purchase additional insurances?

Yes, but only if the price offered is fair in comparison to the comfort and time savings they will offer. The dealership will try to charge as much as possible for these services. Each proposal needs to be analyzed.
